The authority will issue biometric smart cards with individual photograph and other details related to retina, fingerprints, credit histories, name, sex, address, marital status, identification mark and criminal background details (if any). These details will be stored in a central online database or repository.

The card will serve as a proof of identity and help in various other government transactions. This will, however increase their vulnerability to criminals who might misuse the identities to wrong acts.

However, the immediate responsibility for identity vests with the individual. Hence, you must be vigilant with your activities and do not fall upon government or institutions to take additional steps to protect your identity.
