Andhra Pradesh Mahesh Co-Op Urban Bank Ltd. came into existence on 9th August 1978. The bank was given stature of scheduled bank from 26th October 1996 and thus became the first south indian bank to receive such stature.
The bank presently has 33 branches of which 25 are in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and one each at Khammam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Warangal in Andhra Pradesh., Jaipur in Rajasthan and Mumbai in Maharashtra.
It is the first urban cooperative bank in Andhra Pradesh to have computerised all its branches. Core banking solutions (CBS) has been introduced in all branches of the bank.
The Bank has been granted license to undertake money transfer business and specified non trade current account transactions by the RBI as Authorised Dealer Catageory-II.
The Capital to Risk Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) of the bank stood at 28.35% as on
31-3-2010 as against a minimun stipulation of 9% prescribed by RBI. |
