|Orissa State Co-operative Bank Ltd was set up in 1948 to support the lending activities of its affiliated DCCBs. The main aim of the bank is to offer financial products and services while remaining in the competition with mainstream banks. Bank provide refinance to DCCBs for providing credit to farmers, dispensing investment credit for Minor Irrigation, Farm Mechanization, Dairy, Poultry, Horticulture, Plantation, Sericulture etc. through the DCCBs and PACS/LAMPS/FSS. The OSCB, in consultation with the NABARD and Govt. of Orissa prepares plans and programs for dispensation of investment credit and closely monitor the financing, utilization etc.
Bank has taken up projects like implementation of Kissan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, step up production and productivity in agriculture through promotion of farm mechanization and better land and water management, create employment opportunities by channeling credit for promotion of dairy, poultry, pisciculture handloom, transport and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It also provides finance to small traders and artisans, etc. It is the first cooperative bank in the country to provide the state-of-the-art banking services through fully computerized branch network.
