Call to merge four general insurance companies

United India Insurance officers' Association (UIIOA), Kerala unit has called upon its members to discuss the proposed amendment to the Insurance Bill.

The meeting was held to discuss the merging of four existing general insurance companies as there is a demand for formation of a single monolithic corporation.

UIIOA also demanded that the public sector general insurance companies should start hiring staff in proportion with the volume of business and increases in documentation.

Mr. V Sajan, Head of United India Insurance Company, Kochi region, while inaugurating the function also pointed out that the presence of the committed and responsible association helped United India, Kochi region in securing the number one position in India.
