The working of all banks of the regional rural as well as public sector are going to affected from January 20th for two days due a strike called by the United Forum of Banks Union, requesting the modification of wages and additionally the determination of certain different issues.

M. V. Murali, UFBU's National Convener, likewise urged the Government to quickly stop the progressing changes in the keeping money segment as it might make ready for the landing of various foreign banks. Private Banks of the Indian corporate sector and Foreign banks may not need to cater to any of the requirements of a common man in any way as per Murali.

The revision of wages of employees working in the banks of the public sector has been expected since November 2012. There are 27 banks of the public sector in the nation with a strength of around the range of 8 lakhs. Across the nation, these banks have around 50,000 branches.
