Enployees of the four major general insurance companies, United India Insurance, New India Assurance, Oriental Insurance, and National Insurance have shown their dissent on the new promotion policy.

The lateral entry of senior executives is against the interest of the insurance companies stated Mr. P.P. Mohanan, general secretary of the Kerala chapter of General Insurance Officers All India Association (GIOAIA)

The employee union wants internal employees to be preferred over the outsiders, Mr. Mohanan further added that as per another amendment to hire through campus selection is against natural justice.
