New insurance Plan rolled out ICICI Lombard

For the first time one of the largest insurance Company ICICI Lombard General Insurance has decided to offer its customers outpatient department (OPD) health insurance plan. With this plan customers will be able to get cashless outpatient services at the primary health centers.

Only the group health insurer customers can access this facility.’ I Health cards’ can be swiped at the health centers. The plan will help the customers to meet their OPD expenses. Sanjay Datta, Chief-Underwriting and Claims, ICICI Lombard reported that the OPD segment despite of comprising 60 per cent of healthcare expenses, faces a dearth of relevant insurance offerings.
