Blood Donation camp by HDFC bank

For the seventh time HDFC bank is organizing ‘Blood donation drive’ on 6th December, 13. It is one of the largest campaigns in the country. With the help of local hospitals and blood banks the bank is planning to establish donation camps on a large scale, nearly 1400 centers in 725 cities across the country.

Some college campuses are also selected as the centers for establishing camps. Interested people can visit http://www.hdfcbank.com/blooddonation and can look for the nearest donation camps in their vicinity.

Bhavesh Zaveri, Country Head - Operations, HDFC Bank said that with the help of these blood campaigns they wish to bring a change in people’ life. According to the World Health organization data, minimum quantity of blood required by a country is equivalent to 1% of its population. The bank started this campaigning five years back and gradually it is increasing. Last year the bank successfully collected 61,611 units of blood from 75,000 participants.
