The private insurance company HDFC EGRO General Insurance has modified its existing motor insurance policy and added new features to attract more customers. The additional features include clauses which would facilitate customers to make claims for expenses incurred in the repair or replacement of those parts of gear box which are inside it and for labor cost incurred to repair both the engine and gear box.

To introduce the new, modified auto insurance policy, the company issued a press release in which the head of Strategic Planning, Human Resource and Marketing operations of HDFC EGRO Mr. Mukesh Kumar said that the expanding needs and changing external factors have rendered the existing motor insurance policy insufficient. He further added that to meet the demands of the customers, the company has modified the existing policy to include additional benefits at lowest costs.Zero depreciation cover is another new benefit added by the company on the motor insurance policy.

HDFC bank and foreign insurance company, ERGO International AG, came together to form a 74:26 joint venture called HDFC ERGO General Insurance.
