The largest lender of the country, State Bank of India has set up another agri commercial branch in Bangalore. This branch is the second of its kind in the city. The branch has been opened at St Marks Road, Bangalore. The bank has received loan proposals worth Rs 212 crore in agricultural field. It is aiming at increasing the amount of credit to agricultural sector. SBI Bangalore Circle CGM Arundathi Bhattacharya said that these agri commercial branches will aid in large investments in the agricultural sector with the introduction of technological innovations, cold storage, value chains etc.
