Vijaya Bank aims to bring about exclusive branches

Public sector lender Vijaya Bank has set up ambitions to come up with exclusive branches which would focus on the youth.

The bank thus plans to launch 'Next Gen' branches which would be suit the modern day tech savvy youth. Also, some microfinance branches are planned to be set up to meet credit requirements of people, said Mr H. S. Upendra Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank.

He said that a target of around 10-15 'Next Gen' branches and 5-8 microfinance branches has been set.

The 'Next Gen' branches would be facilitated with hi-tech machines, he added.

The microfinance branches would first be set up in all urban areas as well as metros, said Kamath.
