Lately Reserve Bank of India has asked the banks not to issue the soiled notes, but people are complaining that banks are giving them scribbled notes. It has been reported that even from the cash dispensing machines people are getting soiled currency.

Banks are asked to stop this and also stop issuing such notes. But recently number of people complained about receiving such scribbled notes from banks and ATMs as well.

When banks were questioned regarding this then it has been reported that, some of the ATMs are not yet updated with the new software, soon all ATM will be upgraded that will identify the soiled notes and will dispense only the clean notes. Further Citizens were asked to get such notes exchanged at the banks. One of the SBI employee stated that no one comes to them for getting the notes exchanged.
