Credit cards to be issued in bulk by HDFC Bank

Country’s largest credit card issuer HDFC bank is planning to provide 1 million credit cards this year. One third of the total credit cards in the country are from HDFC bank. Bank senior vice president reported that the bank is having dynamic credit card network all across the country. It has been noticed the cards network is increasing in multiple of thousands monthly.

Although for last three months credit card base slowed down a bit but there has been a consistent growth in credit card network of the bank. In recent times HDFC is among the top most banks, issuing the maximum cards in the economy.

At present the bank accounts for a total of 12,000 crore cards in the country. Though there are lots of risks associated with the cards, but bank assured that, they are having a strong management system and will offer card only to their customers, with whom they share a good banking relationship.
