Customers can self check account linking with Aadhar number: Canara bank

Private lending bank Canara Bank decided to roll out a provision for its customers that will help them out to self check their account linkage with the aadhar number. R. K. Dubey, Chairman and Managing Director, Canara Bank, reported that the canara bank is the first one to initiate this self check facility.

Through this facility customer can easily check the aadhar linkage without visiting to the branch. Customer is required to enter the account number and customer ID and systems will automatically response whether the aadhar number is linked or not.

In order to link the account with aadhar number customer has to simply send the account number along with the account number through SMS or call customer helpline. After successful linking of account customer will receive confirmation SMS.

1. The opening part of the article has an error. Canara bank is not a private lender. It is a nationalized bank. Can you help having the article corrected and the pertinent verbiage updated appropriately?
