ICICI Bank added another branch in Hong Kong

The largest private sector lender, ICICI Bank has brought up its first high street branch in Hong Kong. Earlier ICICI Bank had one branch in Hong Kong.

The bank's second branch will supplement its seven-year-old presence in Hong Kong, as per the statement of the Bank.

Hong Kong Monetary authority had approved for the commencement of the second branch earlier in July, 2012.

Mr. Vijay Chandok, President, International Banking For ICICI Bank said, "This will act as a gateway for companies in Hong Kong wanting to do business in India and vice-versa".

The banking license for Hong Kong was granted to ICICI Bank by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on October 10, 2005. And the bank commenced its business on November 14, 2005.
