Indian Bank thinking to shut some ATMs at dusk

Worried regarding the security issues of the ATM, the private sector ending bank Indian Bank is planning to close some of the ATMs at night. Most of the rural area ATMs will be closed. According to a report bank has noticed that during the night hours 650 ATMs out of 1700 ATMs all over the country showed zero transactions.

Keeping this in mind bank is thinking to close such ATMs from 10 p.m to 6 a.m , out of which 300 will be in Tamil Nadu. The bank will be discussing the matter in detail in its upcoming meeting and further will implement it. The Apex bank of the country had asked the banks to improve the security in the ATMs. This measure is basically planned in the interest of customers. It has been reported that one bank has already executed the measure of closing the ATMs during night hours.
