IOB ties remittance facility deal with Western Union

Public sector lender Indian Overseas Bank has joined hands with fund transfer provider Western Union to facilitate remittance activity for its customers.

The bank has entered into the remittance business via Weizmann Forex Ltd in order to facilitate offshore fund transfer facility for online remittances.

The facility was inaugurated by Chairman of the bank, Mr M Narendra.

All the 2100 branches of the bank will be receiving remittances from customers across 200 countries of the world via Western Union's network.

The sender can send the money from any country via Western Union and the beneficiary can withdraw the same from IOB's branch.
