Last it was reported that banks have planned to continue their strike, but now it is informed that banks have deferred to strike. There will be no banking strike for today. Banks have changed their plan to continue their strike.

The managements have proposed to hike the wage by 12.5%, earlier it was 11%. On the other hand the bank unions have also dropped down their demand from 23% to 19.5%. However the negotiations regarding the wage revision will still continue, but banks will be working today.

The bank unions are protesting since November 2012, they want a respectable hike. The union stated that they have deferred the strike for the day but if the revision will not be in their favor, they will continue their protest.
