Report on Deposit and credit growth of the banks

According to data of the Reserve bank of India the bank deposits have doubled up this time. The records show that Bank deposits grew in double digits at 12.3 per cent to touch Rs 81.14 lakh crore. Last the bank deposits stood at 11.5%

The reports have also stated that the credit grew at 9.4 per cent to Rs 61.57 lakh crore during the July-September quarter of 2014-15 and for the previous year the credit growth was reported at 15.05%. It was also noted that the credit-deposit ratio for all scheduled commercial banks stood at 75.9 per cent as on end-September, 2014.
