In order to support and assist the employees of the bank the State bank of India will provide its women employees with the sabbatical leave facility. The facility will provide the female employees to take leave from work for the purpose like children education. The single male parent can also avail this facility.

The manager of the bank reported that they have planned to offer this facility so that the female employees can easily pay attention towards their children education and their in- laws. Most of the women often find it difficult to take out time for these purposes with the help of this scheme they will get some assistance. Many private banks like ICICI bank, are already providing such facilities, but for the first a state run- bank is planning to do so.
