SBI Cards launches 'Click2Card'; apply for credit card online

SBI Cards, the second largest credit cards issuer in the country has announced a launch of its online application service - Click2Card.

Mr. Kadambi Narahari, CEO, SBI Card and Payment Services Pvt. Ltd. present at the launch of the service said, "With the internet and e-commerce boom in India, customers are increasingly looking for financial products online.''

The service is targeted to capitalize the increasing internet coverage and increasing time spend by consumers on the internet. The Click2Card would allow the customer to apply for a credit card securely on the company website.

Click2Card is designed to assist the customer in selecting the best credit card to meet his/her needs and would give suggestion based upon his usage/lifestyle. The application would be received by the company and based upon the credit history, SBI Cards would approve or reject the application.

Customer receives an instant status of his/her application. If the application is approved, the system sends an electronic approval and credit limit assigned.

SBI Cards and Payment Services Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between State Bank of India and GE Capital is a credit card issuer and payment gateway services provider.
