The risk in ATM's can be reduced with credit cards

The need to provide a 24 hour security at various ATMs, especially after the fierce ambush on a lady in an ATM on Tuesday, the issue has become consistent with an assessment made by Assocham. It has been intensified by the way that there is a shortage of 1.5 lakhs security protects needed at ATM stalls all over the country.

As per the assessment by Assocham,, there is in India an overall of 1.25 lakhs ATM's, out of which, 1.15 lakhs ATM's are monitored by CCTV's and 50,000 ATM's are guarded. In the metro cities use credit cards should be promoted this will help in reducing the security risk.

While the recruitment of 24 x 7 manning of all ATM's and guards can be a very costly and time consuming affairs, the brisk answers lie in utilizing high-tech security devices like programmed alerts, change of Polaroid footage, and indeed, setting up focal following rooms that require culminate coordination between banks and the police.
