Four banks of the public sector, might go under the account service's examination for reporting a fall in credit to farming, designated as a necessity segment for loaning by the Reserve Bank of India. In like manner, banks need to categories a few advances under indirect farming credit (credits to firms occupied with agribusiness and associated exercises) or MSME part. These might not be figured for calculation of farming credit targets.

The development rate of agrarian credits in the year ago period was 1% higher. M Narendra, administrator and supervising executive at Indian Overseas Bank said, some rural advances did not qualify because of amendment of guidelines. So once more, you need to do agri credit dependent upon whatever qualifies. The execution has been attractive in farming advances for the whole business. Development will slowly come throughout rabi and kharif seasons. Wherever there are a few variations and we will do the needed," said Rajiv Takru, the secretary of financial services
