Govt. wanted banks to spread more of financial awareness among the rural people

It has been reported that banks have been asked to provide the loan facilities to the public through the self help groups as well. SHG will now facilitate the service of loan. To enhance the living status and conditions of the underprivileged sections of the society the banks are asked to focus more on financial inclusion and financial literacy.

To tell the bankers to spread the awareness regarding banking among the people bankers orientation program was organized in Tamil Nadu. There the bankers, were asked to involve more people in banking and aware them about the benefits and uses of the banking services.

RBI has instructed the various financial literacy centers to focus in financial awareness in the rural areas and with the help of these centers banks should spread maximum of awareness among the people. Many people are still not aware of banking and its uses.
