Odhisa Hit hard by the bank strike

Last day public sector banks started their 2 day long strike across the country. It has been reported that this strike will hit banking transactions of nearly Rs 70,000 crore in the Odhisa state. Jyoti Bhushan Mohapatra, State Convenor, UFBU stated that only the banking branches will not be working but the other modes of the banking like mobile banking, internet banking and ATMs will be operational.

It has been noticed that the halting of the banking services by nearly 40,000 employees from 4000 branches across the country are leading to a serious problems. This for the second time with in the six months banks are going on strike. In order to get the wage revision by 30% banks are going on strike, UBFU tried to prevent the strike, but was not successful. Still the strike is on and it is expected that this will hit hard the banking transactions all over the country.
