Private sector banks making more hiring in comparison to the public sector banks

According to the recent reports it has been noticed that govt. banks are expanding their network faster in comparison to the private sector banks. On the other hand the maximum of the hiring is done by the private sector banks in the country.

The data have shown that one in every four bank employees works with a private bank today. In the past nine years a total of 292,639 hiring is done out of which more than 72% accounts to be done by the private sector banks. The data also reveals that, the sharing of Private banks in the industry has gone up from 10.76 per cent in March 2005 to 25.7 per cent at the end of March 2014.

The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) said there is a huge shortage of employees in the sector. It is expected that there will be 2-3 lakhs vacancies in the coming years in the public sector banks.
