Apex Bank of the country – RBI has warned the people against the fraudulent site. RBI has advised people to be cautious against the false website offering saving accounts in the name of the Reserve bank. It has reported that an unknown person has created a fictitious website at offering the people to open savings account with RBI. The site asks the people to apply online and open 'RBI Savings Account'. The banking regulator clarified that it does not offer commercial bank services such as savings bank account, current bank account or credit cards.

RBI has strictly warned the people not to apply or share any of their information on the website. The information shared can be misused to cause financial and other loss. Even the fictitious mails offering huge money prizes on behalf of the RBI and its governor are sent to the people. RBI has asked the people to visit the official site of RBI and read the press release regarding this and protect themselves from falling in to such fake traps.
