SBI may go slow in recruiting fresher

Recently it has been reported that banks will be hiring fresher in huge numbers, but a top bank official stated that country largest bank State Bank of India may go slow in hiring fresher in next few years. The managing director Mr. kumar of the bank stated that the around 2.23 lakh employees are currently working with bank, the bank will try to maintain the employee strength.

Further it has been reported that employee strength may drop down to 2.2 lakh by the end of march. Mr. Kumar Stated that they will try to maintain the employee strength between 2.2 to 2.3 lakh for next few years, reducing employee all of sudden will effective the banking services. Further they won’t be increasing staff so much that expense and productivity becomes an issue.

According to RBI data the bank is ranking below national average in terms of business and profit per employee. Mr. kumar reported that will be do well in retail and agriculture and there is a lesser scope in corporate sector.
