SBT bank assisted meritorious students belonging to HIV- affected families

Associate Bank of State bank of India – State bank of Travancore recently assisted a scheme meant for the help of 10 meritorious students belonging to HIV-affected families. Apart from banking, banks are showing their interest in other aspects for the social development as well.

The state bank of Travancore contributed a sum of Rs 2 lakh to the scheme. Since last year the bank is associated with this scheme, the bank had tied up with the Kerala State AIDS Control Society in the scheme. This year the bank handed over the scholarship amount to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, last week, in the presence of Health Minister VS Sivakumar at the former’s office.
