Public sector lender Allahabad Bank has come up with account portability facility for its customers. The facility will allow customers to transfer their accounts with the bank from one branch to another with ease.

The facility will enable "instant transfer of accounts" with minimum level of manual intervention, said the bank in a statement.

In order to avail the facility, the customer is needed to put up an application with the bank along with unused cheque leaf at the present home branch of the bank from where he wishes to transfer his account to another branch.

The account number would continue to prevail as the old one only.
