Andhra Bank on expansion mode

It has been reported that Andhra Bank is set to launch a new branches. Bank is having a large part of its banking business in Andhra itself. The bank is 26% of banking in Andhra and 24% in Telangana. Now the bank has the plans to increase its banking in Telangana at set up 200 new branches over there.

At present there are 500 branches of the bank in Telangana. It is reported that as part of its expansion plan, the bank will open as many as 10 branches five each in the zone comprising Nizamabad and Medak soon. However, the NPAs had also increased by a marginal level due to loan waiver. The bank is working to enhance its business and grow at a faster pace.
