Awards bagged by Andhra, South Indian and YES Bank

Lenders Andhra Bank, South Indian Bank and Yes Bank have bagged the top position in award categories of best public sector bank, best old private sector bank and private new generation bank respectively, in the Banking Excellence Awards organised by the State Forum of Bankers' Clubs.

Other lenders like Corporation Bank and Canara Bank bagged second and third positions in public sector category respectively. In the private sector segment, Karur Vysya Bank received the second position while Jammu and Kashmir Bank stood third.

In the new generation bank category, the second postion was taken by IndusInd Bank. HDFC and Axis Bank shared the third place.

The Kalamassery branch of Union Bank of India received the award for the best public sector branch in Kerala.

Federal Bank's Mananthavady branch has been selected as the best private sector bank branch.

The Bankers' Club of Kozhikode received award for the best bankers' club in the Kerala.
