HDFC Bank achieves the increase in net profit by 27.1%

HDFC Bank, the second largest private sector lender reported on Tuesday that it achieved a net profit of Rs. 1982.3 crore, an increase of 27.1 % during the 2nd quarter this year. During the 2nd quarter of the previous year the bank achieved a net profit of Rs. 1,559.9 crore. The net revenue on the interest of the bank during the 2nd quarter this year is Rs. 4,476.5 crore, an increase of 15.3 % when compared to Rs. 3,731.7 crore the previous financial year.

According to the bank statement an increase of 25.3 % on the net interest revenue that accounts for Rs. 1,471.8 crore has been achieved during the current financial year. The overall revenue of the bank during the 2nd quarter this year increased to Rs. 11,937.7 crore when compared to Rs. 10,146.7 crore the previous year.
