Recently it was reported that banks are going for the relay strike protesting for the wage revision. The strike is going to be in effect from today itself. The strike is going from 2nd December to 5th December, 2014. Since November, 2012 the banks are demanding for the wage revision. The banks will begin the strike from the southern region comprising of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and the Union territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry and further the strike will continue to Northern region and then to the Eastern zone comprising of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, West Bengal, Northeastern states and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. At the end 5th December the bank will conduct strike in Western region ne consisting of Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra and the Union territory of Daman and Diu. It is expected that the strike will hit the banking operations on large scale creating inconvenience to the customers. |
