All SBI branches in Kerala celebrate Bank Day

The country's largest lender, State Bank of India, celebrated ‘Bank Day' for its Kerala Circle on July 1. The celebration was held in remembrance of the transformation of the former Imperial Bank into State Bank of India on July 1, 1955.

The function was held in P. Subramanian Hall, and Mr. K. M. Chandrasekhar, the deputy chairman of State Planning Board was invited as the chief guest. The function was convened under the supervision of Mr. V. Murali, deputy managing director of State Bank of India.

Many programmes including social welfare and environmental awareness programmes were held. There were also many cultural programmes and contests for all the employees of the bank to take part in and enjoy.
