Axis Bank launches Axis Capital, commence operations from Monday

The private sector lender, Axis Bank has launched Axis Capital which commences its operations from Monday after completion of all regulatory clearances.

"Axis Bank has launched Axis Capital upon completion of the required legal processes for the transfer of the financial services business of Enam Securities to a wholly-owned subsidiary of the bank", as per the issued statement.

The statement mentioned that Axis Capital has combined Enam Securities' expertise and Axis Bank's financial strength to bring out a vivacious financial services powerhouse by combining the bank's commercial banking and debt capital markets franchise and investment banking and equities franchise of Enam Securities.

Mr. Manish Chokhani will be heading Axis Capital as its Managing Director and Chief Executive officer.

Mr. Chokhani said, "We are now compelling capabilities to service our corporate clients spanning credit, equity and advisory, creating an unbeatable value offering".
