Canara Bank adds 35 new branches today

Public sector lender, Canara Bank has announced the opening of 35 new branches all over the country today.

The addition of the new branches would take the branch count of the bank to 3212. The ATM network of the bank figures to more than 2000 thereby serving a wide range of customers.

Amongst the new ventures of the bank also comes the introduction of a new fixed deposit scheme called 'Canara Samriddhi'. This new scheme will fetch the depositor an interest on 9.25% for tenor of 1200 days.

Senior citizens will be offered interest of 9.75% for this deposit and also 10.5% for the 8-10 year deposit,said the bank.
