DBS Bank India has hiked its base rate by 25 bps to 7.25%. The new rate has come into effect from 20th October 2010. With Reserve Bank of India raising policy rates in monetary policy review this quarter, many banks have raised their base rates. Recently, the largest lender of the country, State Bank of India has also raised its base rate as well as BPLR. SBI raised its BPLR by 0.25 per cent from 12.25 per cent to 12.50 per cent while its base rate has been upped from 7.5 per cent to 7.60 per cent.
