HDFC Bank reaches target of 1million rural loans

Private sector lender HDFC Bank has achieved the target of disbursing as many as 1.1 million rural loans as part of ‘Grammen Mega Loan Mahotsva.'

The drive was part of the financial inclusion plans of the bank to bring banking to the doorstep of those who are still away from its folds.

The bank had organized this loan mela as part of this drive at Gudivada in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.

The event saw participation by RBI Deputy Governor, Dr. K C Chakrabarty, and HDFC Bank MD, Mr Aditya Puri.
