On Thursday, in Mangalore, a new zonal office was opened by State Bank of Mysore (SBM). This year in the month of may mark the existence of the zonal office in Mangalore. In addition, a processing centre for pension will be centralized in the new premises. The pension of 1.50 lakhs pensioners will be credited all over the country for those drawing the pension from any of the bank's branches. Apart from Mangalore, zonal offices also opened in Belgaum, the regional offices of the bank were opened at Mysore, Karwar and Gulbarga. The bank's General Manager, S. Bangara Raju also stated that they expected to even tap the NRI customers as it is a good potential with the Mangalore zone. In the region itself, the banks business growth can be boosted.
