Bank Union forums demand resolving of 9th bipartite issues

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has demanded resolving of the issues with the 9th bipartite negotiations before commencing with the 10th bipartite negotiations.

The issues include five days week, regulated work hours, changes in staff loans, closure of rural branches, and compassionate staff appointment.

"We oppose unilateral imposition of Khandelwal Committee recommendations, aiming at deunionisation in the banking industry,' read a note signed by G.D. Nadaf, the convener UFBU.

The union has threaten with a two day strike in July if the issues are not resolved.
