All the efforts of UBFU went in vain. Banks are not satisfied with the proposal of the UBFU and have finally decided to stop the work and protest. All the public and private sector banks are going on strike from today. The banks will not be working for 2 days i.e. 10th and 11th of February.

UBFU reported that a meeting was held to discuss regarding this, UBFU proposed to raise the salary by 10%, earlier it was 9.50%. Banks wanted an increase of 30% on the grounds that they are waiting for the salary revision since November 2012.

Showing their disappointment over 1 million employees working in 27 private sector banks including SBI, 12 public sector banks and 8 foreign banks all have decided to go for the 2 day strike.
