ICICI bank working on increasing banking services

The second largest leading bank of the country – ICICI bank is putting up its best efforts to bring more accounts and make banking reachable in all the parts of the society. As the part of the financial inclusion plan, bank has added ample number of branches, introduced tab banking facility.

The bank is aiming to have 20 million zero basic saving accounts by the end of this year. There are already 18.5 million such accounts bank is in full plan to add on 1.5 million more accounts. To include more people in banking bank is introducing several methods like branch on wheels and trying to include people from the rural areas as well.

Under the branch on wheels bank is having 8 vans that provides mobile facilities of banking in the remote areas of the society. Apart from rural financial inclusion, the bank has also been focusing on the urban unbanked
