Muthoot Finance’s Q3 results: net profits rise by 7%

The gold loans company, Muthoot Finance Ltd., has released its financials for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012-13. The quarterly financials show that Muthoot Finance has recorded a 7 percent increase in its net profits in the current quarter. At present, its profits stand at Rs. 270 crore as compared to its profits of Rs. 251 crore in the same quarter previous year.

Total income earned by the company for the third quarter of this year has also risen by 11 percent and currently stands at Rs. 1365 crore. Last year, its total income was recorded at Rs. 1230 crore.

For the entire nine month duration of the current year, ending at December 31, 2012, the company reported a total growth in net profits at Rs. 784 crore, which is a 19 percent growth. Its total income stands at Rs. 3976 crore, which is an increase of 22 percent from last year's total income.

The company has witnessed growth not in its business but its branch expansion in the said period has also grown by 12 percent.
