Managing Director Of state bank of Hyderabad, M Bhagavatha Rao unveiled that bank will be launching new 14 branches in Chennai by July, 2014. Recently he initiated a new branch on outer part of the Chennai and stated that with this new branch, now Tamil Nadu is having a total 50 branches of the bank. During this financial year the bank has opened 14 branches, and is planning to set up 14 more, 4 by the end of this month and rest 10 by the end of July.
It has been reported that till now, the Chennai segment of the bank has contributed around 100 crore under the MSME segment and a contribution of another 35 crore is expected by the end of this month. Besides banking bank works for the welfare of the society and helps in enhancement of under development sections. Recently bank donated computers, hearing aid receivers and wheel chairs for the differently-abled children of Prabhavathi Jayaprakash Seva Kendra School situated at Nandivaram, Guduvanchery.
