SBI trying to reduce its NPAs

MD and group executive A Krishna Kumar reported that Country’s largest lending bank State bank Of India is working out to reduce its non- performing assets. The bank is planning to carry  out some new measures and steps to control the slippages and bad loans of the bank.

It has been reported that in coming 2-3 years every year, bank wants to start up 1,000 new fresh branches across the country. Currently bank is serving with 15,550 branches. So far in this fiscal bank has established 700 new branches and the 300 yet to be opened by the end of March this year.

Bank reported that in coming years bank will be appointing more of the women employees and bank will also startup with more women branches across the country.
