SBT Chief, Mr. Nanda Kumaran retires

SBI's associate, State Bank of Travancore's Managing Director Mr. P Nanda Kumaran retired from his service on May 31st, 2013.

At present, Mr. Sajeev Krishnan, Chief General Manager will hold the position of Managing Director for time being.

Mr. Krishnan speaking at the farewell felicitated the growth achieved by the bank under the leadership of Mr. Nanda Kumaran said, "His vision and innovative ideas helped the bank negotiate a difficult phase around the time when he took over in 2011."

Engagement level with the State Government has improved, Mr. Krishnan said. This has had a impact on SBT's market share, quality of assets, agricultural lending operations and gold loans.
