State Bank of Travancore discontinues e-mail instruction to transfer money

Kerala based lender, State Bank of Travancore has discontinued the facility of e-mail instruction to customers for transferring funds from customer to prevent frauds.

Recently, frauds in transfer of money, based on e-mails instructions have increased.

In order to protect depositors' money and to prevent frauds, the facility of transfer of funds based on e-mail instructions from customers has been stopped henceforth, a bank press release said.
