Vijaya Bank slashes base rate to 10.20%

The Bangalore based Vijaya Bank has slashed its base rate by about 25 basis points to 10.20 percent. The new rate became applicable from February 5, 2013.

Announcing the rate cut, the bank issued a statement which said that the public sector lender has a business of around Rs. 1,50,000 crore (as per records of December 31, 2012) and that the bank has witnessed growth and complete progress at every front in modern times.

The bank has a branch network of 1334 branches and 823 ATMs spread across the country.
