926 public and private bank branches to receive advance tax in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai

The advance tax is to be filled for the December quarter by the income tax assesses and to avoid long queues in the central bank counters, arrangements have been made at Reserve Bank of India and around 926 bank branches of public and private sector banks in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to receive advance tax.

Reserve Bank of India said in a statement on Tuesday, “As many as 926 computerized branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses”.

In the statement it further said that long queues and inconveniences can be avoided at the Reserve Bank of India counters if the advance tax fillers in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai utilize the services being made available at various designated branches of both public and private banks and deposit their income tax dues in advance.
